September 20 – December 14, 2025
How to correctly depict proportions?
What is technical drawing?
How to construct a figure in axonometry?
What are projections?
How to create a “pattern” that becomes a three-dimensional form?
We will study all these basics — the hard skills needed to draw more technically, understand scale and volume, and develop three-dimensional and spatial thinking.
We will do this by drawing buildings and scenes from cities around the world.
At the end of the trimester, we will create a group model of part of a city chosen by vote. Will it be Manhattan in New York, London’s City, Porto’s waterfront or Berlin’s Mitte? By learning more about different cities and their structures, we will decide together which one is most interesting to study.
Thus, during the trimester the children will not only learn the fundamentals of drawing and technical drafting but will also touch upon urban planning.
At the traditional pre-Christmas exhibition each group will present its chosen city model with explanatory notes.
